Workshop: Who's in the Room?

$0.00

Belonging starts with trust, relationship, and appreciating teammates’ diverse perspectives. “Who’s in the room?” offers a facilitated space to share and hear from colleagues about what makes them who they are. With open-ended questions like, “What do people get wrong about you?” and “Who are your people?” this session will connect your team on a deeper level.

Activities: Workshops include activities conducive to a variety of learning styles. We make use of small groups and pairs, facilitated discussion, stretching and movement, journaling, and videos and articles, as well as reflection prompts and assignments between workshops. We expect participants to practice with training material in between sessions and return with new questions. Because we believe people learn from their own experience, we provide prompts and insight from on our expertise in the field, but primarily facilitate participants sharing and reflecting on their own knowledge, experiences, and visions peer-to-peer.

Format: These are quick, accessible 90-minute online sessions, designed to scale for groups of 10-100.

Principles: We are highly attuned to power dynamics of both identity and positionality and will make occasional use of affinity group spaces as appropriate. Our foundational work centers on building trust and enabling people to participate in generative, self-determined ways.

Finally, we respect and rely on our participants’ expertise. We offer valuable outside perspective and subject-matter expertise, but rely on your knowledge of yourselves, your organizational culture, and your field to determine which interventions will be most impactful.
